Most AI events are panels. People talking about what AI could do someday. This is not that.
On Monday, February 24 at 7 PM, Purple Horizons and Miami Hack Week are taking over The LAB Miami in Wynwood for a different kind of event. You walk in with a Mac. You leave with a working AI agent.
What is OpenClaw?
OpenClaw is an open-source framework for building personal AI agents. Not chatbots. Not wrappers around ChatGPT. Real agents that can read your email, manage your calendar, post to social media, make phone calls, and automate the repetitive work that eats your day.
Think of it as giving AI a body. Your agent gets tools, memory, and the ability to act on your behalf. And unlike most AI platforms, OpenClaw runs locally on your machine. Your data stays yours.
What happens at the event?
This is a build night. Gianni D Alerta, co-founder of Purple Horizons and an early OpenClaw contributor, will walk attendees through setting up their first agent from scratch. By the end of the evening, every participant will have a functioning AI assistant running on their own hardware.
No prior AI experience required. If you can install an app and follow instructions, you can build an agent.
Why Miami, why now?
Miami has become a hub for builders who ship fast and break conventions. The AI agent space is moving at lightspeed, and the people building the most interesting things are not waiting for permission. They are tinkering in their apartments, their garages, their coworking spaces.
This event is for them. And for anyone curious enough to see what a personal AI agent can actually do.
