  • Related first-party storage used for measurement may also include browser references used by OpenAI's measurement tools (for example, identifiers such as __obref where applicable).
  • The pixel script is loaded from OpenAI's CDN (bzrcdn.openai.com) and measurement requests are sent to OpenAI endpoints (including bzr.openai.com).

  Information that may be shared with OpenAI
  Depending on how the pixel is configured on our site, OpenAI may receive information such as:

  • The oppref click reference (when present)
  • Page URL / origin (source_url), event name, timestamp, and other conversion-event details we send through the pixel
  • Standard technical data involved in loading the script and sending events (for example, IP address and browser user-agent as processed by OpenAI's systems)
  • If we enable automatic advanced matching or manually pass hashed identifiers, supported customer fields may be normalized and hashed with SHA-256 in the browser before being included with events. Raw email addresses, phone numbers, or names are not intended to be sent through automatic advanced matching.

  OpenAI uses this information to provide ads measurement and related reporting under its terms and privacy documentation for advertisers. Reporting in Ads Manager is designed around campaign performance rather than showing us individual-level browsing profiles of ChatGPT users.
