Every AI app needs a face. moji.pet gives it one. You describe a character and get a named pet with 9 looping animations, one for each common app state: idle, listening, thinking, speaking, working, success, oops, sleeping and celebrating. Then you hand it to your coding agent with one paste, and it sets the avatar up in your app. We built moji.pet for people and for their agents. A browser agent can make a pet for you, and a coding agent can wire it in.
Challenge
- Every AI app needs a face. Most use a static logo or a spinning dot.
- Products like Meta's Muse showed that a character reacting to what the app is doing feels friendlier.
- Making one usually takes a designer, an animator and weeks of work.
- Even with the clips in hand, someone still has to wire each one to the right app state.
- AI agents are now using websites and building apps. Most sites aren't built for them.
Approach
- Four steps, no setup. Describe it, meet it, animate it, unlock it.
- Fixed to 9 states that match how AI apps behave, so the set works without extra thinking.
- Character first, then clips. The named character comes first (about 20 seconds), then the 9 clips are made from it, so they all match.
- Hand-off, not docs. Each private page has a "Give this to your AI agent 🤖" box. One paste and the coding agent does the setup.
- Agent-first. Agents can make a moji themselves through WebMCP, an llms.txt guide, or a JSON API.
- Made to share. GIFs, postcards, a friend reward and a public Wall.
