About Mark Cuban Foundation - AI Bootcamp
The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp Initiative provides free introductory AI education to underserved high school students, focusing on equipping them with foundational AI/ML skills, ethical considerations, and hands-on application development. Launched in 2019, the program targets students without prior coding experience and emphasizes diversity, offering six career-focused tracks (healthcare, arts, business, etc.) The initiative has impacted over 1,600 students and expanded to 600+ participants annually, prioritizing underrepresented groups like girls, students of color, and low-income households

Over three consecutive Saturdays, Northeastern University Miami hosted the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp, bringing together over 20 high school students from across Miami-Dade for a crash course in artificial intelligence. With mentorship from local tech leaders and zero prerequisite knowledge needed, students dove into real-world applications of AI — culminating in capstone presentations tackling challenges in health, wellness, finance, and media literacy. The program was supported by mentors from Purple Horizons, local AI startups, and Northeastern’s own faculty and student body.
