The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp Initiative provides free introductory AI education to underserved high school students, focusing on equipping them with foundational AI/ML skills, ethical considerations, and hands-on application development. Over three consecutive Saturdays, Northeastern University Miami hosted the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp, bringing together over 20 high school students from across Miami-Dade for a crash course in artificial intelligence. With mentorship from local tech leaders and zero prerequisite knowledge needed, students dove into real-world applications of AI — culminating in capstone presentations tackling challenges in health, wellness, finance, and media literacy. The program was supported by mentors from Purple Horizons, local AI startups, and Northeastern’s own faculty and student body.
