Executive Summary

Horizon Build Fund I provides early supporters exposure to a focused portfolio of software products developed inside the Purple Horizons lab. The fund follows a disciplined, founder-led process: build quickly, validate with real users, discontinue what stalls, and prepare high-traction products for independent operation. Rather than optimizing for long holding periods or speculative growth, the fund is designed to support clear decision-making as products mature. When appropriate, products may be structured as standalone companies or otherwise transitioned based on market conditions and strategic fit, at the discretion of the fund managers.

Use of Funds

Funds are allocated across product development, go-to-market execution, operational readiness, and reserve capacity to support high-conviction opportunities as they emerge.

How We Stay Connected

Horizon Build Fund I is manager-led. While participants do not take part in day-to-day decisions, we aim to maintain transparency around the work being done inside the lab and to provide periodic insight into active product development.

This includes:
  • Periodic written updates summarizing active projects and milestones
  • High-level visibility into product progress, pivots, or shutdowns
  • Occasional previews of new experiments under consideration for future funds

Updates and engagement are provided at the discretion of the fund managers and may vary in frequency and depth. Investor input does not create decision rights, investment rights, or guarantees of inclusion in any current or future fund or product.

Questions & Considerations

Because most early-stage ideas die not from lack of vision, but from lack of focus and follow-through. This fund exists to give a select group of products a genuine opportunity to prove themselves — with capital, execution, and accountability — rather than being stuck in side-project limbo or undergoing premature fundraising. 👉 If you’ve ever seen good ideas stall for avoidable reasons, this structure will feel familiar.

They’re built inside an operating lab, not as standalone experiments. That means shared infrastructure, shared GTM systems, and a team that has already shipped real products — not first-time founders learning in public. Products don’t start from zero; they start from momentum. 👉 You’re backing a system that already exists, not a theory.

When a product earns real usage and demand, it’s treated as a business — not a hobby. At that point, the lab may structure it as a standalone company with its own identity, ownership, and trajectory. How and when that happens depends on market conditions, not a preset playbook. 👉 Nothing is forced. Signal drives structure.

Because this is the stage where leverage is highest. Early support shapes what gets built, what gets prioritized, and what gets the runway to mature. Later stages optimize what already exists — this stage decides what exists at all. 👉 This isn’t about timing an outcome. It’s about being present when direction is set.

This is for people who understand that building comes before scaling. Not passive allocators. Not short-term thinkers. But operators, founders, and supporters who recognize the value of disciplined experimentation and are comfortable backing process before polish. 👉 If you’ve built anything before, you’ll recognize this phase immediately.
